Helping You Travel the World — No Matter the Journey
CURATED TRAVEL CONSULTING FOR CURIOUS EXPLORERS
Hi, I’m Frank, the voice behind Depth & Discovery Travels. My love for travel began in high school with a Spanish-immersion trip to Ecuador, and it never stopped. I’ve explored over 150 cities across 56 countries, climbed ancient pyramids in Mexico, dined at hidden local spots in Hong Kong, and even helped teach Northwestern physical therapy students how to communicate with clients who have aphasia.
After experiencing a life-altering stroke in 2012 that resulted in aphasia, I faced a turning point. I could no longer return to my corporate career at Deloitte, but I wasn’t ready to stop learning, connecting, and exploring the world. Travel became more than a passion—it became purpose. I rebuilt my life through service, advocacy, and meaningful travel, often designing detailed itineraries for myself and others.
Friends and family began asking for my help planning their trips, and that’s when Depth & Discovery Travels was born.
Today, I help independent travelers discover destinations with depth—cultural, historical, and personal. Whether you want to uncover local gems in Cleveland or explore the ruins of Jerash in Jordan, I offer personalized travel consulting that gives you the confidence to go farther.
And while I serve all seasoned travelers, I specialize in helping people with disabilities or medical conditions enjoy rich, well-organized, barrier-reducing travel experiences because your needs deserve to be considered without compromising your sense of adventure.
If you’re looking for more than a list of tourist stops, you’re in the right place. I’ll help you travel with purpose, clarity, and confidence—wherever your curiosity takes you.

Area of Specialty:
I’m all about skipping the tourist traps and finding those hidden local gems that make a trip unforgettable. I love planning immersive experiences that feel personal and real—and I know how to make travel work beautifully for people with disabilities or medical needs, without it feeling limiting.
My First International Trip:
It was a high school trip to Ecuador to study Spanish. That’s where the travel bug officially bit me. Ever since, I’ve made it a point to explore new cities, even when I was traveling for work. When my parents were still living, I always sent them a postcard from wherever I was in the world. It it became a little tradition I loved.
Comical Event:
I genuinely love digging into the details when planning our trips. It’s like a treasure hunt! I always aim to make our travels rich with local culture and hidden gems. One of my favorite finds was a tucked-away restaurant in Hong Kong that locals love but tourists rarely discover. When Edwards and I walked in, the whole place turned to look— totally shocked that two gweilos (Cantonese slang for foreigners) had stumbled upon their spot. It was a meal and a memory we won’t forget!
Legacy I Hope to Achieve:
Encourage and empower disabled travelers to pursue adventure with confidence. I want to help them see that the world is still open to them. That it is full of experiences, beauty, and connection, no matter their limitations.
